So, there are rumors from Naftka at Faeit 212, as well as Romeo from 40k Radio, which both claim that the Space Wolves codex is next up for release following this month's Orks. Given that, I think the timing is right to initiate phase two of the 'new codex bet project' which began with this thread here.
The purpose of this effort is simply to have fun within The Rout with a challenge of wit and wisdom, to see who can guess the highest number of potential changes that might be incorporated into our upcoming codex.
So, the following are the list of questions that we came up with. To participate, simply copy the list into a new post, and then put your answers to the right with either a Y or an N.
Once release is imminent, I'll lock the thread to prevent further changes/edits to your answers, and we'll do a count when the new codex is in our hands.

1. Will keep the Leaders of the Pack rule (i.e. extra HQ slots and no duplication of heroes/characters).
2. Will keep Counter-attack and Acute Senses special rules throughout the army.
3. Will see the Leman Russ tank reincorporated into the army.
4. Grey Hunters will keep 'ultra-grit' weapons load-out (i.e. Bolter, Bolt Pistol, and CCW as default).
5. Grey Hunters will keep the option for a 'free' Special Weapon when taking max pack size of 10 models.
6. Wolf Guard will keep the Pack Leaders rule (i.e. ability to split off to lead other packs).
7. Independent Characters will still be able to purchase Sagas.
8. Some sort of Monstrous Creature will be added as a unit option.
9. Will get Venerable Dreadnoughts as a HQ option again.
10. Claws (Blood, Sky, and Swift) units will get additional Special Close Combat Weapon options (i.e. more than just one per pack).
11. Some sort of Flyer will be added as a unit option.
12. Frost Blades will become Chapter Relics.
13. Long Fangs will lose Fire Control special rule.
14. Will get a 13th Company/Lost Company Supplement or Dataslate.
15. Wolf Priest will get some option to grant FNP to attached unit.
16. Wolf Standard will become a Relic, or otherwise limited to 1 per army.
17. Rune Priest will get a unique Psychic Power table.
18. Will get access to Centurions.
19. Will get a new vehicle that is unique to the Chapter.
20. There will be a way to make Wolf Scouts troops.
21. Iron Priests will be selected like vanilla Tech Marines (no longer Elites).
22. Wolf Guard Terminators will become a separate unit entry to Wolf Guard in Power Armour.
23. Lone Wolves will give up a victory point in missions they survive, unless they kill a MC or Walker.
24. All Claw units (Blood, Sky, and Swift) will get WS 4.
25. Will introduce a special character Iron Priest.
26. Bran Redmaw will be introduced as a special character.
27. Rune Priests and/or Wolf Priest will gain Thunderwolf Mount option.
28. Each Great Company will get its own unique special rules (a la Chapter Tactics).
29. Canis Wolfborn will be dropped from the codex.
30. Runic Weapons will enhance new 7e version of Deny the Witch.
31. Will reintroduce Runic Charms.
32. Will make Wulfen a unit option.

A codex (often pluralised as codexes by Games Workshop, though the grammatically correct pluralisation is codices), [1] in the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop wargame, is a rules supplement containing information concerning a particular army, environment, or worldwide campaign.
Codexes for particular armies were introduced for the second edition of the game. The third edition rendered these obsolete, and a new series began, including introducing codexes for battlezones and campaigns. Until superseded by newer versions, the 3rd edition and later codexes remained valid for the newer editions of Warhammer 40,000. Games Workshop no longer produce campaign or battlezone codexes, instead releasing 'expansions'. 'Codex' is now a term solely used for army books.
The rules for all models from 7th Edition onwards have been produced as datasheets. These are normally a concise page containing all the necessary rules for a model or unit. A complete and comprehensive list detailing all the datasheets available for each faction is available on the Datasheet (Warhammer 40,000) Wikipedia page.
The introduction of 8th edition saw a large rules overhaul, and all prior codexes were rendered obsolete. On release, 8th edition introduced Indexes to introduce rules for all their armies, before again eventually releasing individual codexes. As with before 8th edition, codexes remain valid until superseded by newer versions (currently the oldest valid codex is Codex: Grey Knights - 8th Edition).

Current Books[edit]Army Codexes[edit]
The range of codexes is regularly updated with new editions of armies and occasionally new army codexes. However, all codexes prior editions of Warhammer 40,000 are still valid in the current edition, unless a later version has replaced it. Upon the launch of 8th Edition, all codexes 7th Edition and prior were invalidated due to a rules overhaul and therefore incompatibility. On launch they were replaced with Indexes to provide compatible rules.

Expansions[edit]
Expansions for Warhammer 40,000 provide alternative ways to play the game. With the release of 8th Edition, all 7th Edition codexes and expansions were rendered obsolete. Battlezone codexes were rules supplements that dealt with a specialised combat environment, instead of an army. There was only ever one produced. However, material in Codex: Catachans provides rules for jungle warfare. The concept of a Battlezone codex was replaced by Games Workshop's Expansions.
3rd Edition Events[edit]
The two event codexes were released in association with the 2000 and 2003 Worldwide Campaigns. These codexes provided background and special gaming rules for the event, along with four 'supplemental army lists'; variant armies that required access to certain other Codices for use.
